How long does a sale with Easyhome take in Wallonia?

By Anthony Casula Licensed real estate agent, IPI no. 509.677 Published 01-09-2026 Updated 03-11-2026

The short answer

Finding a buyer is the fast part: Easyhome commits to a sale in 15 days when the owner follows the Easyhome method. Legal completion then adds time, as the preliminary sale agreement (compromis) is signed first and the notarial deed usually follows within about four months. So the marketing phase and the completion phase are timed separately.

It helps to separate two different clocks. The first is how long it takes to secure a buyer, and the second is how long the legal process takes once you have one. People often merge them and end up with a misleading figure.

On the first clock, Easyhome's method is built for speed. A correct asking price, professional photography and immersive video, and immediate exposure on the major portals are designed to find a buyer quickly, which is why the agency can attach its public promise: your property sold in 15 days when the owner follows the Easyhome method. The market backdrop helped in 2025, a strong year in which Walloon median house prices rose 15.4% to 240,000 euros and sales volumes in the Liège and Namur provinces climbed roughly 16% to 17% (source: Notaire.be/Fednot, February 2026).

On the second clock, the timeline is set by law and practice rather than by the agency. After an offer is accepted, the compromis is signed, and the notary then has around four months to prepare and pass the deed, during which searches, mortgage arrangements and the balance of the price are settled.

The surprising takeaway is that the phase most sellers worry about, marketing, is usually the shortest, while the administrative completion they assume is quick is the longer of the two.
